PEACE PRAYER DAY
Peace Prayer Day is an annual celebration of peace and humanity. This one-day event occurs every June in the Jemez Mountains of New Mexico on ancient, sacred Hopi land. Peace Prayer Day is an international event founded in 1986 and hosts a variety of world music and dance as well as expositions and awards all centerd on peace.

GREENPEACE
An organisation devoted to giving the earth a voice as well as helping people. Greenpeace used their ship, the Rainbow Warrior, to help the medical aid organisation Médecins Sans Frontières (MSF) in getting their much needed relief supplies to parts of Indonesia devastated by the Indian Ocean earthquake

AMERICAN FRIENDS SERVICE COMMITTEE
Founded in 1917, the AFSC is a Quaker organization that includes people of various faiths who are committed to social justice, peace, and humanitarian service. Its work is based on the belief in the worth of every person, and faith in the power of love to overcome violence and injustice.
